The minimalist design of this boot emphasizes the quality of the construction and the incredible oil-tanned leather. The boots are designed to take a beating and look great at the same time. It's raw and fearless, just like its namesake—Texas legend Jim Bowie.

Oil-tanned leather is "self-healing" and can be darkened with more conditioner, but the leather is versatile and hides imperfections. A little leather conditioner will keep the boots with a rich oiled look, but if you like the lighter tanned look, leave them alone, without conditioner.

We don't use any synthetic materials, and every piece is handmade (which is why this boot will last a lifetime).

These details are important:

• 3.8cm square cowboy toe
• The uppers are calfskin and measure 30cm high
• The heel is a 4cm stacked leather. The soles are hand-set with lemon wood and reinforced with brass nails.
• Reinforced pull tabs.
• Luxurious calfskin interior for glove-like comfort.
• Full leather insole (for breathability and a custom fit).

These boots are dedicated to the legendary Jim Bowie. He made a name for himself in the South as a knife fighter and shrewd businessman. His leadership in the Texas Revolution emboldened the Texans at the Battle of Concepcion and the Grass Fight. He was to lead the Alamo garrison but fell ill and fought to the death alongside his brothers.
